70666 We, the Class of 1957, of Benton Harbor High School in the city of Benton Harbor, County of Berrien, State of Michigan, United States of America, being of sound mind and body at this writing, and realizing that our days at Benton Harbor High are rapidly coming to an end, do hereby make, publish, and declare this last will and testament, hereby revoking all former wills and testaments made by us in the past. Being an outstanding class in all respects, we would like to remind the Juniors that it will be utterly impossible to duplicate any records we have achieved. but as Seniors they should not become discouraged. To the student body, as a whole, we leave our many accomplishments in the fields of athletics, music, and drama. The Senior members of the Letterman's Club leave Mr. Appledorn to the 1958 Big Sisters. The Senior members of National Honor Society leave their ability to "brown-nosen the teachers to the Junior members of the said society. Gwen Rahn wills her "cast" to next yearis Senior play. To the office helpers we leave all our unexcused admits, in hopes that they will be reissued. All our gratitude personified goes to the faculty for their tireless hours spent trying to induce us to achieve higher goals in life. Our many thanks and gratitude are left to our worthy advisor, Mr. Holt. for his inspiring leadership and energetic efforts in guiding us through all our trials and tribulations during the past four years. This year's undernourished Seniors will to the hungry Juniors the cafeteria we did not get in hopes that they will receive more benefit from it than we did. The Class of 1957 leaves John Rogers to his father as a social problem. Dave Gordon leaves his elevated shoes to Chester Walker so that he will be better able to play basketball. Wally Preston leaves his ability to make Hi-Y speeches to Dick Small. Jeanne Govatos bequeaths her soft round pony tail to "Bunny" Ogden. To Douglas Landis and Mike Yore, Tom Larson leaves his ability to "smell', trouble. Don Marler wills his position on the football team to Myron Hamilton and Alvin Filstrup because it will take both of them to make halfback. The book "Multiplication Made Easy" goes to George Kelso from the Senior cheerleaders. Nancy Creed leaves her Ford to Judy Hashman to use the parts to make a "hot rod." To Jane Hadley, Charlotte Schuster leaves her leading man, Nelson Carlock, in hopes that she will play opposite him next year. Joy and Jolita Whitfield leave their ability to get along to Nancy and Linda McGinley. The Senior Class leaves all the "Tweedy" cartoons to Mr. Curnow. Jerry Barchett leaves his 2-point average to Tony Belski in hopes that he will be able to receive it. To DeAnn Doebeli, Judy Blake wills her short hair and bleach solution. We, the Class of 1957, do hereby put our stamp on this letter which will be mailed June fifth in the year of nineteen hundred and fifty-seven. SUBMITTED BY CLASS WILL COMMITTEE Chairman: Barbara Ginter Karen Gobiel Richard Gavrolovich Joan Gregory Gwen Rahn l82
