FIRST ROW: B. VanBrocklin, R. Small. A. Filstrup, T. Littke, L. Eastom. R. Harrison, D. Davion, D. Holt. SECOND ROW: Mr. Farnum, C. Pringle, R. Schultz, M. Teske, J. Swander, B. Wightman, C. Peapples, J. Culverhouse. Emu One ofthe least publicized sports in high school is cross country. This year as in the past two years we had an almost perfect season. We lost seven out of eight meets. The harrier's only victim was Holland. Since cross country is not very well known, Coach Farnum is forced to use many recruiting methods. The most popular of these is the fact that we use the Berrien Hills Country Club for a course. Mr. Farnum claims it is the best course in Michigan. The scoring system in cross country is similar to that of golf in that the team with the least amount of points at the end of the meet wins. The class of '57 wishes Mr. Farnum and his future teams more success than they had this year. Benton Harbor Emerson, Gary Benton Harbor Niles .. .......... .. Benton Harbor South Haven ....
