Cooperative training enables students to bridge the
gap between school and full-time employment.
Through enrollment in the cooperative training pro-
gram a trainee devotes half his time to an in-school
schedule ancl the other half to a part-time paid job.
His school schedule includes a balanced combination
of subiects required for graduation and subiects
directly related to his job. The job time is devoted
to performing tasks normally assigned to new work-
ers in the occupation. Upon graduation the trainee is
qualified to assume a full-time job with a background
