LEON MCKENZIE wow'-A 1' -new S' , ....-...,.. Having attended Benson these past four years I have learned a great deal. This is a great school but it still has its faults. The teach- ers' thoughts and 'ideas are too set regarding black students. The student bodyuas a whole is not listened to enough. This is mainly be- cause some of their ideas are liberal and most of the teachers tend to be conservative. If this is to continue to be a great school, the administration must take student ideas more into consideration. Also, on behalf of the black students, attending Benson: They should be able to study their own black cul- ture. They are being deprived of this right because Benson has no Black Studies course. If the existence ofthe Nation's Finest is to continue, the faculty must judge all students by their inner qualities rather than by their appearance or color of skin.

5 BENQ GOKAM1 My past four years at Benson have been something else?'? It is a very fine school, but it would be even better if co-educational Being a member of SURS, I have had the op- portunity of attending various social func- tions Which were very rewarding. That's one of the things Wrong with Benson. Al- though the academic and shop programs are the very best anywhere, 'the school doesn't offer one much of a chance to de- velop the background one needs in order to enter a different field than those offered here.
