SEVENTH AND EIGHTH GRADES In September, 1956, the enrollment numbered 25--with ten boys and fifteen girls, At the close of the first semester, Mae and Annalea Demoney moved to Fairplay, and during the spring vacation Mildred Green moved to Franktewn. In Janaury, Wilma Froman from Box Elder entered our room We closed the year with an enrollment of 24 ten in the elghth grade and fourteen in the seventh ' ' During the first semester, Dorothy Steele, Charles less, Jae and Annalea Demoney and Barney Stoflel were perf ct in t endanee Charles Hess and Dorothy Steele were melther absent nor tardy during the entire year, Proyects for the year included individual copies of the 'Current Vventsn magazine for each member of the eigh grade, the purchase by each pupil of an Engli h exercise book, which have proven an aid in English expression, the purchase by the Board of education of a Denver Library card and of five re quired Peadinv Circle books eh pupil road and wrote a test on ten required books For Colorado History the class has de pended on the public library Tre use of 1OVlS for irstruetion has been very lntere t ing and valu ble, particularly as an aid to understanding sci ence and geography No one in the room h s Willing missed a movie The music for the year ha consisted mostly of a period each week vita iss Flanders? cl ss and instrument l lessons from Mr Syer Those taking lessons re Dorothy Steele, Ted Capps, Dorothy Mus er, Helen Rohlf, Emily Rountree, Alvir Brook, Gladys Dye, Louise Skinner, J cl Fox and Petty Lou Har ri .
