O 'ctober 7-ll, 1946 This, the first event on the Senior Calendar, gave the Class of Ianuary 1947, the first chance to show their individuality. Gay colored bows of all sizes and descriptions added color around the school. BOW CATCHER HOP ............4,....,..ii............,.........,..........,..........,.,.. October ll, 1946 This dance was the climax of Bow Week and introduced a novel floor show given by several members of the Senior Class. The prize for the outstanding bow was taken, right before Seniors' eyes, yes, by a Freshman. VARIETY SHOW OR THE PARADE OF STARS .,i.,....,..,....,..,.. November l, 1946 A galaxy of stars added a bright spot to the Senior Calendar as they presented varied forms of entertainment. Many hidden lights of talent were uncovered much to the surprise and enjoyment of all. TURKEY TROT FROLIC ............ , .....,..,............,....... .t.,..,.,.......,.... N ovember 26, 1946 The probing beam of the spotlight picked out the talent of those who attended the second dance of the season. The turkey, awarded as a prize, was certainly vivacious. SENIOR PLAY .......................................,........,..,.........,....,....,.,......... . Ianuary 10, 1947 Seventeen, the memorial book by Booth Tarkington, was brought to life on the Blewett stage by an excellent cast of Seniors. The ado- lescent Worries of Willie Baxter provided the audience with many chuckles and a great deal of pleasure. CLASS DAY .,,.,..,..,..,..,.,................,.......... ,...,...., . .,....,..,.......,..,.,......., I anuary 17, 1947 The long awaited day finally came and the Seniors presented a pretty sight in their white dresses and dark suits. The mystery surrounding the Class Will and Prophecy was dispelled and the class received their colors of maroon and grey. The day was brought to a close with a party and dance. COMMENCEMENT, .......,.....,.............................,....,.......,..,............,... Ianuary 22, 1947 Commencement, the highlight of all the Senior events, brought to a close our four years of high school. All too soon these years will be but nostalgic memories of our past and cr realization of the future we are facing. No one could have been more co-operative or more generous of time and energy than the lanuary Senior sponsor, Miss Florence McDer- mott. Her cheerful smile and willing spirit endeared her class to her. Once more the Ianuary Seniors thank her for all she has done. Miss Florence McDermott Eighteen
