Mr. Garrett acts as our guide. We will soon enter the world of active life to make good and to meet all tasks with uplifted heads. We will always keep in our hearts our happiest memories, those of the days in good old B. H. S. THE MANTLE To be given the mantle is one of the greatest honors a student can receive while in Belvidere High School because this mark of distinction means that the student chosen is the best all-around student in his class. He must be outstanding in leadership, sportsmanship, and scholarship. This year the mantle is held by Wilbur Strawn, and on Class Day will be presented to a worthy junior.
