The purpose of this organization is to give recognition to, and to encourage, Belmont girls who exemplify the best qualities of character and conduct. Emphasis is placed on courtesy, scholar- ship, responsibility, kindliness, and service. The sponsor of this fine club is Miss Strain, our Girls ' Vice Principal. THE BELMONT KNIGHTS as an organization exists primarily for the purpose ot ren- dering service to school and community. The Knight is selected to membership on the basis of personal integrity, scholarship and leadership. He learns to serve, and through service develops further insights into leadership. His exemplary conduct sets a standard to be emulated by others. H.FROSTER, S.FONG, E.LEW THE MAYDENS, a group of Tenth Grade serv- ice workers, are headed this semester by Irene Ozawo. The sponsor is Miss Zacha- riash. These Tenth Grade girls entered Bel- mont with a willing desire to better Belmont, THE SQUIRES help provide school service at Belmont. The organization is training ground for the development of leadership, character, and ability. The president is King Van Ness, and this fine club is under the sponsorship of Mr. Flores. THE CHATELAINES, headed this semester by Mrs. Payton, have been very active. Able- bodied officers and many ambitious Eleventh Grade girls of this club continue the fine accomplishments of previous Chatelaines. They have been twice elected the best service club at Belmont.
