To the Class of 1954: This Yearbook will be a keepsake of and a testimonial to the fact that you have expended the time and effort necessary to complete your high school training. In so doing you have individually and collectively left your imprint on the school and upon those who will be continuing here. You are embarking upon challenging seas of larger scope which will offer many oppor- tunities for a full life. Your individual efforts to mould a constructive imprint in this broader area call for an aggressive application of the cardinal virtues of faith, determination, cour- age, and intelligence. This will sometimes be difficult. However, you can perhaps take comfort from a view credited to Victor Hugo — There is one power mightier than that of armies. It is an idea whose time has come. The fall of the school year has a singular effect on seniors, for it means a more realistic approach to immediate goals. The problem of what to do follow- ing graduation is most significant and meaningful. In retrospect, friends have been an essential part of high school days and experiences in the extra curri- cular activities have added some enrich- ment to school life. The future will reveal that friends, activities, a good sense of values, and a sound religious faith are essential to happiness and success. As the Blueprint” reflects your indi- vidual and collective accomplishments, so too, it will leave significant and selec- tive footprints for those who will follow.
