We look forward to next year in Room 32. SEPTEMBER 12, 1949: Mr. Brinkman's troubles begin as we make a mass invasion of the Senior homeroom. Betty, Jackie, Jean, Joan, Loda, Judy. Females predominate in the other positions also, with Jean Engelhardt as Recording Secretary, Joan Derby as Corresponding Secretary, Sybil Nassau as Red Cross Representative and Josephine Marino and Marion Stephens as the G.O. Representatives. The men, however, did manage to take over two of the iobs. Eugene Giancola was elected Vice-President and Chapman Cronquist as Treasurer. FOOTBALL SEASON: We have a successful season on the gridiron, win- ning five of the eight games played. The victory over our greatest rivals, the Harrison Huskies, was con- sidered by most to be our greatest achievement. New Senior members who joined the cheerleading squad which ignites the spark of enthusiasm at the games are: Patty Clark, Jane Martin, and Antoinette Panaro. Peanuts, candy, sodal was a familiar cry to all at the games. Under the able leadership of Patty Clark, chairman of the Refreshment Committee, the arduous task of selling these items was carried out by the following members: Dotty Brasa, Sally Falk, Carol Garfunkel, Eugene Giancola, Carol Gotti, Carol Heithaus, Shirley Holland, Janet Irving, and Jose- phine Puleo. SEPTEMBER 29: The dramatic team, Hal and Ruby Holbrook, enact scenes from Shakespearean plays and present a skit from the life of Mark Twain.
