Miss McPhee, aPPer carefully giving Phe insPrucPions 'Fired Phe sParPer's gun. AlPhough Phere were Pew acPiviPies in which we Freshmen could parPicipaPe, many oP Phe boys were inProduced Po Phe Pield of sporP. Two oP Phe girls, eager PhaP Phey should noP be ouPdone by Phe boys, were made members oP Phe varsiPy baskePball Peam. We were pioneers, Phis year, in sParPing Phe PirsP homeroom organizaPion ever aPPempPed in Phis school. AlPhough Phe pace was a Prifle PasP, mosP oP us suc- ceeded in grasping Pirmly Phe baPon as Phe Pormer sopho- mores released iP. Miss ScuPP and Mr. Davis now coached Phe group Prom 'Phe sidelines. We enPered zesPPully inPo Phe spiriP of Phe newly 'formed acPiviPies and pracPically every member joined one or more oP Phe clubs. Again many oP us were numbered in aPhlePic acPiviPies. ln SepPember l935, we conPesPanPs sped on ever nearer GraduaPion, our goal, cheered on by Miss ScuPP, Miss Larmon and Mr. Davis. ln November we organized our class, Phe 'following oPFicers being elecPed: George Haines, presidenPg Frank RaPh- bone, vice-presidenPg Eleanor Morrison, secreParyg and Donald Hull, Preasurer. The Junior-Senior Prom proved Phe highlighP oP Phe year, our innovaPion of a guesP 'Por each Senior and Junior adding greaPly Po iPs success. Honors came Po us in Phe scholasPic as well as Phe aPhlePic Pield Phis year when Lloyd HarrioPP, a Junior, was one oP Phe PirsP persons awarded membership in our newly 'formed branch oP Phe NaPional Honor SociePy. EnPering Phe PourPh and hardesP lap oP Phe relay were sixPy-Pour sPudenPs led by Frank RaPhbone, RuPh Henderson, Eleanor Morrison and HerberP LaRoza as oPPicers, while Miss McPhee ably coached. Our class boasPs many aPhlePic leaders among Phe boys and Pive members on Phe girls' baskePball varsiPy. The Senior girls' Peam Pinished Phe baskePball season undePeaPed. One oP Phe mosP impressive evenPs oP Phe school year was Phe NaPional Honor SociePy ceremony and iP is graPiPying Po reporP PhaP Pour Seniors were inducPed inPo membership, on PhaP occasion as well as Po noPe PhaP nine members oP Phe class were laPer recipienPs oP Phe SweaPer Award Por noPable parPicipaPion in school acPiviPies. The early spring days were crowded wiPh acPiviPy as Phe class prepared 'For PhaP all imporPanP evenP, Phe Senior Play. The presenPa- ily Pion of Philip Barry's The YoungesP was received wiPh evidenP appreciaPion by Phe audience. Thus Phe year passed, wiPh Phe largesP group of young men and women in Phe hisPory oP Bellows High School, T tfeie now ready Po bursP Phe Pape, Po relinquish Phe Prack Po Phe Juniors and Po grasp wiPh appreciaPion Phe Prophy-a diploma.

amps, Y THE SENICR PLAY HE Class of I937 infroduced a new idea in senior plays by presenfing a well-known producfion by a well-known playwrighfg namely, The Youngesf , a comedy by Philip Barry. The lead was falcen by Alberf Quinfavalla, who played fhe parf of Richard Winslow, a young wrifer. The family, which did ifs besf fo frusfrafe his efforfs, included his mofher, played by Margaref Campbell, his sisfers Marfha and Augusfa, porfrayed by Laura Haviland and Nancy Pinfo, respecfively, and Harry Holden and Griffen O'Connell as his brofhers Mark and Oliver. John Dudley acfed as counsel for 'ihe family and also as husband for Augusfa. Carolyn Gillespie played fhe parf of Nancy Blake, who proved fo be Richard's inspirafion in overcoming his family. Gerfrude Haas as fhe Winslow maid rounded ouf fhis fine casf. Dancing, arranged by John Dudley and his commiffee, was enioyed in fhe gym- nasium affer fhe performance. Royal Friedlander was sfage manager of fhe producfion, Carlo Bordiga, properfies manager: Roberf Havilcek, elecfriciang Lesfer Sarles, prinfing supervisor, James Marsland, chairman of fhe house cornmiffeeg Philomena Magrino and Madeline Tolive, cosfume supervisors, and James Lemon, fickef manager. Alberf Beecroff, Wallace Grabarz, and Conrad Henne formed fhe sfage crew, and James McGuinness had charge of publicify. All credif is due Mr. John Corfield, who direcfed fhe performance, and fo all who in any way confribufed fo 'l'he evening's enferfainmenf.
