amps, Y THE SENICR PLAY HE Class of I937 infroduced a new idea in senior plays by presenfing a well-known producfion by a well-known playwrighfg namely, The Youngesf , a comedy by Philip Barry. The lead was falcen by Alberf Quinfavalla, who played fhe parf of Richard Winslow, a young wrifer. The family, which did ifs besf fo frusfrafe his efforfs, included his mofher, played by Margaref Campbell, his sisfers Marfha and Augusfa, porfrayed by Laura Haviland and Nancy Pinfo, respecfively, and Harry Holden and Griffen O'Connell as his brofhers Mark and Oliver. John Dudley acfed as counsel for 'ihe family and also as husband for Augusfa. Carolyn Gillespie played fhe parf of Nancy Blake, who proved fo be Richard's inspirafion in overcoming his family. Gerfrude Haas as fhe Winslow maid rounded ouf fhis fine casf. Dancing, arranged by John Dudley and his commiffee, was enioyed in fhe gym- nasium affer fhe performance. Royal Friedlander was sfage manager of fhe producfion, Carlo Bordiga, properfies manager: Roberf Havilcek, elecfriciang Lesfer Sarles, prinfing supervisor, James Marsland, chairman of fhe house cornmiffeeg Philomena Magrino and Madeline Tolive, cosfume supervisors, and James Lemon, fickef manager. Alberf Beecroff, Wallace Grabarz, and Conrad Henne formed fhe sfage crew, and James McGuinness had charge of publicify.
