PEP BAND AND PEP ASSEMBLY COMMITTEE The Pep Band, under the direction ot Doc l.eedy, had a rather slow start this year and did not tind much time tor practice. However, they provided entertain- ment tor the retail selling class at the Attermath Club house and tor other organiza- tions. The Pep Assembly Committee, with the help ot several clubs, kept school spirit high by organizing rallies. THE COOPERATION KIDS Cooperating to produce some ot the tinest music at B. I-I. S. these kids also prof vided diversion tor many ot the social groups about town. They have made this school proud ot achievements attained in the Tri-County Music Festival. High honors went to the trombone quartet tor their 'isuperiori' rating. The clarinet and drum guintets were marked excellent as was the tlute trio. Who marches under a blistering sun or wades through a tield ot mud? The taithtul band, under the direction ot Dr. Leedy and the management ot Sam Rust, is led through its paces at every school game by Bob Reid, regardless ot distance or weather. The loand participated in the dedication ceremonies tor the new stadium ot rival Everett, pro- vided the main band tor Blossom Time, and still retained enough energy to make- two trips to Mt. Baker. Each spring they present an operetta, They also sang tor yarious organizations ot the city, thereby advertising our school to the Public, Gail Dillon acted as president tor the glee club this year.
