The plol involves the army and civilian populations in amusing circumstances. Elsbelh, lhe brallish sister, adds lo 'rhe confusion by always being around when Janie's beaus, Scooper and Diclc Lawrence, come calling. The play ends with the army having a party in lhe Colburn living room. They entertained many luncheon clubs this year, occasions which excused them from class and sent them back happily licking ice-cream cones which the clubs had donated.
