Not pictured is Jack Allen om- om Tom-Tom reporters were J. Jackson, S. Mathis, B. For the first time in many years, Bellevue High had a iournalism class which published the Tom-Tom. The school paper was put out bi-monthly. The content of the Tom-Tom changed dramatically, the gossip section was done away with, the newstories appeared as straight newstories and not editorials, a much better advertising iob was done. Front Page Editor. At the Nebraska High School Journal- ism Convention at Lincoln, on Nov. l4- 15 Bellevue scored a first place in the editorial-writing division by Tom-Tom Editor Katie Bartels and a third in the proofreading contest was won by Sue Ruskin. Student Council Representatives are C. Stefan, C. Cramer, B. Helwig, T. Albracht, D. Rocchietti, B. Wustrack,and M. Cassell. Not pictured is J. Hilficker Student eouncil The Student Council represents the entire student body, and its activities. This organiza- tion consists of four officers and two represen- tatives from each class. The officers are chosen by an all school election. This year the Student Council spnosored the Homecoming Dance and parade. They organized safe driving, and citizenship committees, and took care of noon activities. During the basket- ball tournament they had charge of concessions and welcomed the other team. They were also the group to back the foreign exchange program. Meeting once every week the Student Coun- cil discussed and provided many ways to improve Bellevue High School. The Boys Octet Qminus Bill Woodrow, sing to the King, Queen, and their Royal Court at the Student Council sponsored Homecoming Dance. A f '!
