Mr. Jerry Turner, our principal, gave us leadership and the wise advice that “Freedom Is the right to discipline one’s self.” 1 Mr. Harris Tollefson and Mrs. Belle Levin, assistant principals for seniors and freshmen respectively, helped to make sure that students got safely off the campus at the end of the day. Principals insure a learning atmosphere The responsibilities of Mr. Jerry Turner were many and varied. In addition to coordinating the entire curriculum, assisted by department chairmen of the faculty, he was in charge of supervision of all school activities. Working with Mr. Turner in supervising the campus were the four assistant principals. In addition, each was in charge of special projects. Mrs. Belle Levin was in charge of social activities and the magazine drive. Mr. Dan Wolford handled maintenance of school property, parking, and served as principal in the absence of Mr. Turner. New teacher training and extra-service assign¬ ments were taken care of by Mr. Harold Limper. Mr. Harris Tollefson was responsible for student records and registration. Together the principals kept the school in working order. Ruin, snow, or sunshine, Mr. Harold Limper and Mr. Dan Wolford super- vised the loading of buses at 2:30 and 3:30 every day. Mr. Limper was the assistant principal for Juniors and Mr. Wolford the assistant principal for sophomores. Principals 25
