We led West the best we could The Student Council had many duties to perform. In fall the council got together to beautify the campus by planting trees and shrub¬ bery. They planned Spirit Week and Hobo Day. Their Christmas Dance attracted six hundred people. The council was kept busy by counting all the votes turned in at the class elections. Having a suggestion box in the Cafeteria helped the council to get ideas for a better school. Helping with the campus beautification program were Jim Rogers, president, Mr. Fritz Kunze, sponsor, and Chris Vandewater, vice-president. Serving as chairmen of committees were Julie Kcehner, Jeff Cange, Kathv Connely, Marianne Maloney, Lew Hages, and Photo Anagnos- topoulos.
