Sophomores learned the basics of biology. Chemistry students learned about molecules and atoms. Natural science classes studied features of the earth. Science demands deep thought Human anatomy and physiology was a new course set up lor seniors which dealt with the studv of body organs and their I unctions. Other courses available for studv were advanced biology, chemistry, physical science, ecol¬ ogy, nature science, physics, and sophomore biology. This vear the ecology classes began using the textbook written by their instructor, Mr. Gary Tweston. Physics and chemistry were combined as a course. 16 Sciences

A necessary part of each home basketball game is the sweeping up of the playing floor by one of our custodians. A favorite food in the cafeteria is french fries, prepared on the spot by our cafeteria staff. Mr. Tweston and his ecology class studied ways to preserve nature. The second floor of the Science-Library Building was a busy place. Students worked bard on experiments and projects, with chem¬ istry students constantly surprised by the out¬ come of their experiments. Physics students studied the laws of nature while those in ecology learned the use of nature, from catching fish to recognizing different types of leaves. George Sotiropoulos used his talents in dissecting a fetal pig. Physics students worked with electronic equipment. In anatomy students learned parts and functions of the body. Sciences 17
