Debbie James. Val Sexton. Seniors Lead Team To Second Place The 1983 tennis team ended their season with a record of eleven wins and four losses. Eight seniors provided considerable leadership and will indeed be missed. The girls earned second place at districts and were defeated by St. Paul Visitation in the semi- finals of the regions. Sharon Meger placed second at districts and fourth at regions. The underclassmen have a lot of potential and will put the Belle Plaine tennis team in the spotlight next fall. On behalf of the tennis team, we would like to ex- press our thanks to Coach Terry Knop for all the time and leadership he has given us to make our tennis season a smashing success!
