7th 8th Graders Get Involved Students in the seventh and eighth grades kept active and had lots of fun throughout this school year. The junior high student council sponsored a three day winter week on March 3,4, and 5. Activities included a candy guessing contest, suitcase relay, a faculty baby photo contest, western day, and backwards day. The week concluded with the girls asking the boys to a dance. Seventh grader Julie Halquist won the can- dy contest by guessing 625 in a jar filled with 626 pieces of assorted candy. The eighth graders showed their speed when they won the suitcase relay. Large numbers of junior high students also tried out for the musical. Sheral Kahle was selected as Oli- ver and many of her fellow classmates also received roles in the production. All of these activities plus the never ending daily homework kept everyone busy. 18 «11
