Seventy-six of these were in the senior band; thirty-nine were in the junior band, and thirty-five were in the grade school band. The first major activity of the year that the band participated in was Homecoming. Members played for the bonfire, the coronation, the parade, and the football game. The annual Christmas Concert was held in December and the 25th Annual Spring Concert was held in April. The Spring Concert program consisted of half serious and half popular music. March 17th was the date of the district solo and ensem- ble contest held at Le Sueur. Ivan Otto received an A rating for his solo Elvarado .
