CHORUS The high school chorus this year was made up of about fifty students in grades nine, ten, eleven, and twelve. They were selected from among the ninety who had signed up for chorus this fall. Over thirty of the selected group were first year mem- bers. The new chorus was initiated with the singing of There is a Layde and Early One Morning at a student council convocation in late October. For the Christmas Concert a selection of six numbers was presented, including: '1 Wonder as 1 Wander, Fum, Fum, Fum, and The Little Drummer Boy. The district choir festival and the solo and ensemble contests were both held in March. Glenna Schultz received an A” rating for her solo Black Roses and the mixed octet received an A for their rendition of Ifca's Castle. The Spring Concert was held on May 8. Some of the pieces performed on the oc- casion were Praise We Sing To Thee, Let All Mortal Flesh Keep Silence, Ain'a That Good News, ” and Wonderful Copenhagen. Graduation on May 23 saw the last appearance of the group for the year and the final performance of our eleven seniors. Accompanists for the chorus were Mary Jean Plonske and Joan McCue.
