Football practice began on schedule and a group of 35 enthusiastic boys reported for the season's work. Coach Miller and his assistant, Mr. Nielsen, worked long and hard pulling the squad into shape. Although the record of the '54 grid season is not too impressive on paper, the future looks bright, because there are some promising under-classmen coming back. Among those wearing the Red and White for the last time were Bob Moody, Dave Hottinger, Cliff Klehr, Einard Karnitz, Tom Hessian, Gene Lucy, Wayne Larson, Kerian O'Brien, and Dick Schense.
