f 11 rn Y ' ' Q Q a UW -' n - TX! CALENDAR Lead played here for our football opener. We squeezed through 7-6. The Broncs defeated Mobridge for our second victory. Score 32-19. Rapid City Cobblers handed us our only defeat of the season, 33-7. With a score of 28-13, Pierre fell under the Bronc powerhouse. Wash tubs, frying pans, and many other such musical instruments Belle racked up another victory in a nip and tuck game, beating Dead- Our Homecomiig celebration began with the coronation of Wanda How- ell as Queen and George Patenode as Marshal. A stirring pep rally followed. Outside Wanda set fire to the 'B' and the procession with Classes were excused to work on floats. The juniors took first prize in a very colorful Bronc Day parade. At night, under the lights, the Broncs won their Homecoming' game from Sturgis., Score 21-14. Following the game a successful dance sponsored by the juniors was Whoopeef 2 2 A vacation! Faculty attended the SDEA Convention in Lemmon bows to Broncs 27-13 to end a successful football season. Magazine sales topped all previous years with a mark of S2,4l0.90. Got out of a whole hour of school to see a NSA Program starring Black Hills Student Congress in Lead. Ten students and Mr. Arnold Mock wedding staged by the Home Ec departrnent. George and Mar- The first basketball game of the season was victorious when we de- SEPTEMBER 5. School started. Yea-a-a-a-a? ? ? 'P ? ? ? 6. 15. 23. 25. The Marines took one of our star athletes, Brutch Amen. 29. nv :T .ab 5517? OCTOBER . H5026 . A Q ff 6. We trounced visiting Spearfish 32-0. ' 10. were played for us during a NSA Program this morning. 13. ' wood Z7-13. 19. the snake dance started up Main Street. 20. held in the gym. 22-25. Rapid City. Our chorus sang for the program. 27- Broncs journeyed to Hot Springs to beat them 12-0. NOVEMBER 3. 6. 7. Major, a German police dog. 10- Father and son banquet for football players. 17. B1-ITC presents 'The Whole Town's Talking. 18. and Miss Rogers attended. 20. Dan Hejde discovers a broken bone in his wrist. U Z3-24- Free for Thanksgiving vacation. 4 30. 6 lene made such a cute couple!! DECEMBER ' 1-Z- Music Clinic in Spearfish. New excuse for getting out of school. 8. I, Bobbe Sturges, will---'wait a minute, I don't have anything to will---I wish you all as much fun as I had in high school. I, Rose Thomas, will my love of Physics and Chernistry to Bob Shay. I, Lloyd Wallace, will my whiskers to some eighth grader who would like to shave. I, Sally Williams, will my shy, quiet, unassuming personality to Rex I-Ieinbaugh with the fervent hope that he may put it to use. We, the seniors, will our ability to get the 'Bronc' out by March 1, to the juniors. To the sophomores we will our sophistication, and strictly businesslike qualities. Belle loses another close game. Belle 40-Spearfish 43. Chorus presented Everett with 'diplornaf' Hot Springs wins by close margin: 39-37. Should have reversed this one. Belle 36-Custer 63. Custer lucky again 29-18. Jack Cooper returns to us from Arizona. Lost 5th game in a row: Rapid wins 63-41. Josephine leaves for St. Paul to compete in the National Majorette Contest. Finally broke losing streak. Beat Spearfish 33-27. Colored films on Canada by Harry Houghton. Hi-Times Valentine Dance. Dwain Rish and Judy Busfield crowned King and Queen of Hearts. Luther proves his theory--4th girl in a row. Woe is us! Seniors take University tests. Junior Class play, A Date With Judy. Annual goes to press--what a relief! 2 Our last game! We play Lead.
