March 5, a blind xylophonisl, Pierce Knox, enler- +ained lhe sfudenls. The sludenls conlribuled gen- erously lor a worlhy cause-The purchase oi Braille eguipmenl lor 'rhe blind. March I3, al 8:00 p.rn. a greal Polish soprano, pianisf, and composer, Mme. Ablamovicz, gave a splendid performance for bofh 'rhe sludenls and parenls in lhe evening. Then, lhe same day, Two differenl lalenl assem- blies were given for The Boys' Forum and The Girls' League. An ex-convicl, R. J. Flash Moore, came +o Bell l-ligh and gave a very inieresfing Jrallc, also showing piclures of prisons. l-le really pul lhe poinl over Thal Crime Does Noi Pay. The play was under rhe direclion of Bell High School's drama Jreacher, Mrs. Esiher lhlauschildl Siodel. Frances Monigomery played 'rhe parr of +he heroine, Nancy. Mel Pierce was Roger, +he hero. Oihers who 'roolc main paris were: Joyce Afkin- son, as a negro maid who was, incidenfally, a fem- inine Rochesier. Warren Craig 'roolc +he pari of Fiefield, +he supposed villian, who acfually was quiie innocenl and lcepr rhe audience really guessing. Carl Spiers was +he hero's boy-friend. Virginia Thomas, Marion Daly, and Paul Jones were in 'rhe supporling cas'r.
