a as Seniors in the Know third . On July 31, 1976. Kathy Welch married Ricky Saint. Kathy has been the only person to be married through the entire senior year, this year. Kathy tries to be in every activity in school that she can. She especially enjoys all the sports that Belgreen has to offer. Some of her favorites are basketball, baseball, and volleyball. Kathy is taking P.E. again this year. lt is-very special to her since it is her last in the gym with all her friends. Kathy feels that there are only a few differences in attending school married or single. One of these is that she feels her friends are more polite to her now. Kathy's average hasn't dropped this year. She Carol. a member of 4-H for eight years, has won numerous awards. Some of her more outstanding awards are: County Program Winner on record book over 30 times, and District Winner three years. As the Ala. State Dress Revue Winner Carol attended the National 4-H Congress in Chicago, Ill. in 1976. She was a delegate to the AIC Meeting two years for her Cooperative speeches: in 1974 she went to Manhattan, Kan. and in 1975 to East Lansing Mich. In 1975 she won the Gold Key Award. a medal for Outstanding Leadership and Citizenship. also the Outstanding Leadership Award for her record book, becoming a delegate to Fantana Resource Development Conference. in Fantana, NC. She won this award again in 1976. Carol has now won the Outstanding Citizenship Award and will be a delegate to Citizenship '77 in Washington DC in June 1977 ! ! 64 Did you know that Belgreen has a World Grand Championship winner Not only that but Larry is also the only juvenile to ever win this title' Larry and Sunset Jubilee have entered the Racking Horse Celebration four times since its beginning five years ago. Out of these four they have won three maJot yet different championships. These are: The Juvenile Championship in 1974 the 15 2 Championship in 1975, and best of all, the World Grand Championship 1n 1976 Larry and Sunset's ring record is well known yet it bears repeating Together they have won over two hundred ribbons with well over a hundred and fifty of these being blue Larry showed Sunset twenty four times in 1976, winning twenty one shows two reserves and one feels that being willing to try and to attend school is the most important thing to remember Do you like rodeos? James and Rickey do and have won numerous events James has been a member of the IRA for three years. In 1976 he entered the Memphis Tenn High School Rodeo. ln the finals he won second place in Saddle Bronc Riding and Calf Roping and third place in Team Roping, winning over S800 in prizes James also won first place in Bull Rid ing at Decatur. Falkville, and Haleyville, winning around S700 Rickey started out working for the J. and L. Rodeo Co. He won second place in Team Roping and fifth in Calf Roping at the Memphis High School Rodeo. He placed in two out of four rodeos rn Oklahoma He also works as a pick-up man and judge in his spare time Rickey earned around S550 in 1976 incuding his earnings as judge and pick-up man
