We, the senior class of Belgrade High School, hereby dedicate our 1961 Panther to Mr. Edwin Ed Ehresman. For the past five years he has been the custo- dian of our high school, but there have been many times when he has helped us above and beyond the call of duty. He has chaperoned various groups of our class on many of our trips and functions when he could have used the time doing something for him- self, rather than for others. He has aided our class in the setting up and the running of our plays and other projects. He has been faithful in keeping our school clean and presentable to the eyes of the stu- dent body, the faculty, and all other observers. It is with the deepest feeling of appreciation, that we take this opportunity to dedicate this year- book to him.

MR. COMER SUPERlNTENDENT'S MESSAGE As we project our missiles into outer space this day. probing for further light and knowledge, may we be reminded that it is in this general direction that we are aiming ourselves as we go through life. Iust as the launching of the rocket must be perfect in all details if the rocket is to be zeroedg so must we plan our lives if we are to zero in on our future target. Each day, each year we must guide our lives toward the perfec- tion that will prepare us as fit subjects for the Kingdom above. For it is through such upward planning that we better prepare our- selves for our stay on earth. America must continue to guide and lead the world into a free and fruitful way of life. Our free, public schools are the source of training for this leadership. Education KEEPS us Free! And it is this freedom and use of the mind that can guarantee America her place in the leadership of the world. magma SCHOOL BOARD SITTING: Guy Hanson. Winifred Thompson - Clerk, Dr. N. O. Otheim - Chairman. STANDING: Mark Hampton, Ralph Armstrong, George Cook, Stan Milesnick, Brundage Spragg.
