CLASS POEM Tis TO OUR SCHOOL WE GIVE OUR PRAISE, For it has shielded us in many ways,, It has helped us our lessons to learn, And our thoughts to become more stern. The teachers to us are very kind, And want us to let kindness enter our mind. At lunch time we may eat a hot lunch, But while eating we must not noisily crunch. When school is out the 25th of May, The children at home so gaily will play. But thei r thoughts will turn back to the HOUSE ON THE HILL, Where they sat many hours, although not VERY STILL. CLASS PROPHECY One day as 1 sat in the yard studying my his- tory, I FELL FAST ASLEEP, I DREAMED THAT 1 WAS LOOKING INTO A CRYSTAL BALL, I THOUGHT I WAS IN Hollywood and saw Holly Mutter on the stage as a FUNNY Hollywood Star. My mind wandered and I found myself in a BEAUTIFUL HOUSE. I HEARD BEAUTIFUL MUSIC. ThEN I SAW Georgie Gilbert playing a piano. I realized IT WAS A BROADCASTING STUDIO. ThEN 1 SAW DELLA MaE Whiteb standing behind a microphone singing a solo. I left THE STUDIO AND FOUND MYSELF IN THE STREET, There stood a big hospital, I went in AND WALKED THROUGH THE HALLS. In THE OPERATING ROOM, I SAW JICKE NEWELL AND WALTER HELTON OPERA- TING AND Helen Jones standing by as a nurse. Georgie White was a technician in the same hosp i tal. JT I left THE hospital AND IT BECAME DARK. 1 FOUND MYSELF FLOATING IN THE AIR, ThEN 1 REALIZED I WAS IN A PLANE. I WALKED UP TO THE PILOT AND SAW Buddy Chapman driving the plane. The plane vanished and I found myself in an OFFICE. Carl Marshall was the boss and Louise Robinson as his secretary. Then I went in another ROOM AND FOUND BETTY AnN HaRLESS WORKING IN A TELEPHONE OFFI CE. I WENT ON DOWN THE STREET AND FOUND A SCHOOL- HOUSE. It WAS A LITTLE KINDERGARTEN SCHOOL. 1 FOUND Jean Ray as the teacher. Then close by I SAW A BIGGER SCHOOL, AND NANNIE McCRACKEN WAS TEACHER THERE. Then I went to a great ball field and found Bobbie Dean Honaker the captai n of the team. I SAW A GREAT DEPARTMENT STORE, I WENT IN AND FOUND ROBERT WHITE AS THE BoSS WALKING AROUND, AND Jean Pratt working for him.
