Dedication I We the members ofthe HIGHLANDER STAFF fondly dedicate the 1966 annual to a man who is known and loved by all Bel Air students. The most loyal Highlander of Bel Air High School, he is held in high esteem by each of us. He never fails to support our school activities, he never fails to offer his help when he knows something needs to be done, he never fails to greet each per- son cheerfullyg he never tails to spread a little cheer wherever he may be. He is a man surrounded by the problems of other people, yet one who never complains, nor tells others about his mountainous burden. He treats each person's problem on an individual basis, never treating one with more importance than another, merely solving each one in due course. He is, of course, our own SEFERINO MURGUIA, better known to all of us as SHORTY. the 6'Shadow of a Highlander The shadow of the Highlander is cast upon the every-day lives of the students and faculty at Bel Air High School. Joe Cardoza Cleftl leads the student body in singing the alma mater K at the homecoming pep rally. Miss Jeanette Sutton Cbelowb in sheds tears of happiness upon receiving a birthday cake and mum from the Varsity Cheerleaders.
