In Brazil Rusty Bynum, one of Bel Air's foreign exchange students, spent two months in Brazil under the Ameri- can Field Service summer program. She visited historic, picturesque places such as Ouro Preto, where Brazil's fight for independence began fupper rightl. Rusty met other A. F, S, 'ers flower righty and made many Brazilian friends fcenter rightj. Some of the most outstanding characteristics of Brazil are its modern architecture, grassy mountains, wonderful food, and the warm, outgoing spirit of the Brazilians, all ingredients which go together to make an unforgettable summer for Rusty.

.and broad Spending the summer in scenic Switzerland, Richard Green saw many spectacular sights, met, and learned about the Swiss. Sent on the American Field Service's summer program, he lived with the Hottinger family Cupper lefty. Switzerland, a densely populated country, has many areas of rural beauty. The entire country is mountainous fupper righty with scattered lakes flower rightj. Richard visited the city of Geneva flower lefty and viewed a monument to the Swiss Army fcenterj in Southern Switzerland.
