Calendar Both girlsi and boys' basketball teams came out on top at the combat with Rising Sun but the boys' team was less fortunate at Sparrows Point because theylost. We are glad that Mary Holmes doesn't have the disposition she depicted in the Student Stagers' play, MThe Tantrumf' Our cramming for examinations was to no avail. We knew them or we didn't. FEBRUARY-The Midwinter Dance marks a half yearns labor completed. Our minds were freer and we made a resolution to work harder in the second semester. Our ambitions turned to traveling as we listened to Arthur F. Kahe, explorer back- trailing Marco Polo. The Tome game was a victory for the girls' basketball team but a defeat for the boys'. The Junior Valentine Party was an opportunity for the juniors to court their valentines. Remember when ,lack Elliottls new cheer was presented for the first time in our pep assembly? Vile regretted Mrs. McMahonis resignation, but we were glad to welcome Mrs. Belva Hopkins. We learned real facts about goodwill from '4Reel Facts About Goodwill. VTARCHYXVG were entertained by the Alexander Nov- elty Co. Xve heard samples of the Glee Clubs' ability to sing when we had an advertising assembly, which was responsible for our attending the Glee Club Con- cert and Variety Program a few days later. APRIL-The seniors, with all their dignity, att-ended the Senior Party and had a aswell time. Many a person was shaking in his shoes when he ap- peared in the auditorium after winning one of the places in the spelling contest. Our school represent- atives. however, were very confident. Our athletes were sent to the Penn Relay. MAYseLouise Scarfl' reigned regatly over our May Day CC Fete. Our eyes fairly poppedii at such an array 1, 1 I , , of feminine beauty as was exhibited by the attend- 1 I , ants. Uur interclass track meet was very successful and brought out some athletes who heretofore were un- known. All mothers were honored at our Mother's Day Program. With May come thoughts of what we shall do after we graduate. The School and College Day proved very helpful to some of us. I fl!! Our athletes made a very good showing at the Tl. of Md. On Memorial Day, our soldiers were remembered. The Senior Vesper Service was a very solemn occasion. The rest of the pupils did not skip Mexamsn, however, they had to go through with the ordeal.
