r '-nj-r -- LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF THE SENIOR CLASS OF IQLQ We, the Seniors of Beech Grove High School, County of McLean State of Kentucky, in the year of our ord nineteen hundred and forty neine, after acquiring all the knowledge possible from this worthy institution, feel it our humble duty to make a last will and testament ot bequeat all our assests as a shining example and guiding light to those seniors yet to come. We the Senior Class leave our brains to the green freshemen, our dignified ways to the silly sophmores, and our places as Sen- iors to the Junior Class, with our best wishes to each class for many happy years to come. We leave to the faculty our thanks for the endless hours they have spent trying to pound a little knowledge into our empty heads. To our principal, Mr. Dodge, and our faithful sponsor, Nr. Ward, we bequeath our sincere appreciation for their patience and advice. To the janitor we leave all our empty coke bottles, our candy pap- ers and ice cream boxes. lo thecooks we leave all our unwashed dishes and uneaten food. We bequeath singly as follows: I, Phyllis Fulkerson, leave all my old book reports to Bobby Head, it is hoped they will keep him eligible. I, Alfred Ray Lloyd, leave my ability to say anything, any- time, anywher to anybody who can get away with it. I, Jimmie Stringer, have no intention of leaving anything be- hind. The mere memory of me will warm the hearts of all the stud- ents 1ong.after I am gone. I, Louise rayne, leave'my natural curly hair to mr. Ward, who was so sorry to lose his. I, lyde Albert Sandefur, leave my big feet to anyone who ne- eds a firm foundation. I, Edyth Galloway, leave my sophisticated swing to Joan Boyle as I think she will take care of it. I, Bobby Ball, leave my alluring voice to anyone who likes to fascinate women. I, derbert Moss, leave my girls in every port to the unmarried men of the navy. I, Mary Clark Payne, am forced to take all my assests with me for no one else would have them. I, Janet Thompson Moss, leave my ability to fasicinate the na- vy to Tida Crabrtee. I, Coleen McDaniel leave my friendly ways to all the girls of Peach Grove Uchool. I, Glenola Young, leave all my funny stories to Mr. uodge, who needs some new ones. I, Marjorie Harl, leave my special brand of laughter to any- one who has the lungs to stand it. I, Alice Johnson, leave my poetic ability to Patty Moss. I, Helen Miller, leave my sarcasm to all the future will writers. Helen Miller, testatrix

i , , ....-.--.2-....-F.--.. ..- -.--1' - I 1 CLASS PROPHESY-CONTINUED Now as I turn back to California I see Marjorie June Harl waiting anxiously for Jake, who is coming home from Hollywood where he is now staring in the famous picture, nCrazy Over Shortieu. I see Janet Sue Moss sailing the seven seas with Gene to see if the saying is true, HA Girl in Every Portn. Wonder if this will be the beginning or the end? Now I see Bobby Ball sitting at the head of a big executiv meeting. This time he is using his own judgment instead of going to mother for advice. And by the way booby is still looking for a wife. I can now see a common scene, a lady pushing a baby buggy with two children following her. Something looks gamiliar as I take a second glance I see that this is the former Glenola Young. She tells me that she is now Mrs. Robert Cummings and too,she is having a very happy life. With a tiny twist of the crystal I catch a glimpse of Mary Helen Miller, pardon, Nurse Miller, who is still undecided about Lee. Finally, my globe grows dim, dimmer, until I can no longer find any shadows and it is with weary eyes but happy spirits that I draw the curtain. As I peer deeper into my crystal ball, a landscape scene with a country church comes within focus. Adjusting my globe I see this church beautifully decorated for some special occasion. A happy group of people are gathered around a couple in wedding dress. Yes, you have guessed, it is our dear class mate Coleen McDaniel-now the bride of Moye Algood. So I have turned my eyes to the future and I am left with a feeling of pleasure in knowing of the success and happiness of the class of l9h9. Phyllis Jean Fulkerson , we
