r ' '1 CLASS PROPHESY OF l9L9 I have been chosen to prophesy the future of the Senior Class of l9u9. Sa as a fortune teller, looking into crystal globe, I turn my eyes to the future to see what this group of Seniors now will be doing in l9SMg just five short years from this date. It is now IQSH, and as I peer into my crystal globe, I can see one group standing out above the others. This group is none other than the Senior Class of l9h9. I can see a streamer sailing up the Pacific Ocean commande by none other than our dear classmate, Clyde Sandefur. As I take a closer look I see he is commanding 'The Slow Boat to China,n and for once we cannot see his mother waiting up for him. As I look Eastward, I see the Island of Okinawa and some- thing else familiarg could it be Alice Johnson? Yes, with things clearer, I see that it is she. Alice's duties seem to be two fold, one serious and the other frivilious. I can see her teaching the natives, and happy thought, Charles is her help mate. As I look back toward home I see our dear old friend Alford Ray Lloyd going from door to door campaning for the office of Governor. Now as things are growing brighter we see Alford entering his home where he finds his dear wife by the name of nNancyu very busy taking care of their family. The next morning I see byself hopping a train to Hollywood arriving at the depot I take the next taxi out to the residence of Mrs. Johnson. The maid answered the door and escorted me into the living room. Much to my amazement I found Mrs. Johnson to be the former Louise Payne. As we continued our conversation Louise tells me about our dear class mate Edyth Galloway, who is very busy as secretary of the Taylor Insurance Co. in New York. Edyth is also occupied spending nTeters' millions and also his time. As I turn my eyes toward Panther way, there is Mary Edna Clark Payne managing the old NHome Townu. Who is the fellow nearby? That is Boots-who by this time as expert ducking the rolling pin. As I go down to Madison Square Garden I see a momument erected in honor of Jimmie Stringer who has made his fortune as a comedian in ministeral shows. He is now staring with the ziegfield follies, in Panther, Ky. Ohl I can see a dignified young fellow with a mustache. He happens to be none other than Herbert Moss. Herbert tells me he is the owner of NCen1s1no Pool Hall.n Wonder if he can take time out from playing to run it satisfactory? d

i , , ....-.--.2-....-F.--.. ..- -.--1' - I 1 CLASS PROPHESY-CONTINUED Now as I turn back to California I see Marjorie June Harl waiting anxiously for Jake, who is coming home from Hollywood where he is now staring in the famous picture, nCrazy Over Shortieu. I see Janet Sue Moss sailing the seven seas with Gene to see if the saying is true, HA Girl in Every Portn. Wonder if this will be the beginning or the end? Now I see Bobby Ball sitting at the head of a big executiv meeting. This time he is using his own judgment instead of going to mother for advice. And by the way booby is still looking for a wife. I can now see a common scene, a lady pushing a baby buggy with two children following her. Something looks gamiliar as I take a second glance I see that this is the former Glenola Young. She tells me that she is now Mrs. Robert Cummings and too,she is having a very happy life. With a tiny twist of the crystal I catch a glimpse of Mary Helen Miller, pardon, Nurse Miller, who is still undecided about Lee. Finally, my globe grows dim, dimmer, until I can no longer find any shadows and it is with weary eyes but happy spirits that I draw the curtain. As I peer deeper into my crystal ball, a landscape scene with a country church comes within focus. Adjusting my globe I see this church beautifully decorated for some special occasion. A happy group of people are gathered around a couple in wedding dress. Yes, you have guessed, it is our dear class mate Coleen McDaniel-now the bride of Moye Algood. So I have turned my eyes to the future and I am left with a feeling of pleasure in knowing of the success and happiness of the class of l9h9. Phyllis Jean Fulkerson , we
