ROXV 2' Bill Cummings, jim Robbins, jim Wilhite, David Sherrill, jack Stapp. ,,.-f Organized long ago under the direction of Miss Georgie Mitchusson, the Scarlet and Purple Dramatics Club has enjoyed a long and happy term of years. For the past fourteen years Mrs. Helen Chandler has had the direction of this group and under her leader- ship many memorable productions have been pre- sented for the pleasure of the public, Membership is based on tryouts. Any member of the three upper classes may apply for membership. Outstanding plays presented in the past few seasons include The Bishops Mantle , Line of Scrimmage , and Foot- loose. Tl-IESPIAN TROUPE No. 609 Thespians have been operating under their local charter since 1947. Membership requirements are set up by the National Council on a merit basis. Aims of this group are: to establish and promote standards of excellence in all phases of the dramatic arts and to create an active and intelligent interest in drama among students of the secondary schools.
