He is able to climb at least a little way out on each limb of the tree of knowledge. Although the student may not become proficient in each branch, he will at least have been exposed to a variety of subjects. l'lus h.n'tl working tlass struggled through Clhaucerian English, poured over pages and pages of Shakespearian drama, and waded ilnouligli a x'erit.uble shoxxer of linglish poetry and prose.
