S. degree from Indiana State Tea College, and has also attended Purdue University, and Indiana. Besid coaching the varsity he teaches social science in high school. Mr. Barnes received his B. S. degree at Indiana State Teachers Colle the second team he is in charge of the boys' physical education classes. Tom Fitzpatrick and Louie Endris, alloting socks, towels, and suits, did much work behind the scenes besides tossing out the towels at the games. He was graduated from Princeton High School and received his B. S. degree from Wfabash and M. S. degree from Indiana State Teachers College. Mr. Snyder teaches social studies in high school besides his football and track work. Line coach jim Chadwick was graduated from Sullivan High School, and received his B. S. degree from Indiana State Teachers College. He teaches woodworking in high school when he's not showing seven boys how to Hold That Line! S. by Miss Carolyn Dejean in the spring of 1942 and is now sponsored by Mrs. Virginia Hodges, phy- sical education instructor. G. A. A. activities are divided into two sections, organized and unorganized sports. Freshmen and Sophomores meet on Wednesdziy afternoons for organized sports and the juniors and Seniors meet on Thursday afternoons. During the school year, basketball, volley- ball and bowling are offered as organized sports, with ping pong, hiking, bicycling and other sports as unorganized. Mrs. Hodges' duties as G. A. A. sponsor are to be present at all the games held in the gym, to help the girls when decisions come up during a game, and to take attendance if the Sports head of the team playing is absent. Her teacher training was received at Indiana Cen- tral College, from which she holds a B. A. degree. SPORTS HEADS take the attendance at each gular meeting of the G. A. ENGLISH PIONEER The Pioneer Staff is com- posed of seniors and assisting junior editors. The staffs chief duty is preparing the yearbook for publication. Members work during the basketball season at the concession stands, a project that pays in part for the ex- penses which have to be met during the year. Additional money was made this year through having both the Sec- tional and the Regional tourna- ments in Bedford.
