A highly dramatic play with a cast of fifteen was greatly enjoyed by all who attended. A death warning brought by a ghostly figure in the midst of a week-end party at the Red House sets the stage for a tense drama and casts suspicion upon first one guest after another as the play progresses and more murders are committed. Romantic interests are furnished by Bill and Betty, Anthony and Angela, and their matchmaking mothers. Finally Anthony Gillingham, who volunteered to help Inspector Birch and Oflicer Turner, brings the play to a swift but satisfactory conclusion. 31- 55+ Scene From The Variety Show A Mr. and Miss liedlord lligll School, johnny Dooley and Brenda Cheatham and Master ol' Ceremonies Stuart Wheeler. Glvmcing at New one On Thursday, April IS, a group of fifty excited seniors thought the day's classes would never end. At last the bell rang and they all rushed home to finish their last minute packing. About dusk they all arrived back at school right on time tsay's whoj to start the long awaited trip to New York via Trailway buses. After a long exciting night of buzzing voices, eating, and stopping along the way to get some quick refreshments, a group of tired but happy seniors arrived at Hotel Piccadilly on -19th Street, New York City. After a long bus ride, the City of New York looked a little dreary but a little freshening up and a walk to the R. C. A. Exhibition Hall to see Dave Garroway's program in action made them all feel a great deal better. Next on the agenda of tours was a view of Rockefeller Center and N. B. C. studios. The afternoon was spent on board a Crossroads sight-seeing bus getting an overall view of New York. That night the students went to Radio City Music Hall to see a movie and stageshow featuring the Rockettes. Most of the seniors agreed that this was one of the highlights of the trip. Saturday they toured the Empire State Building and the United Nations Building. That afternoon some went to Madison Square Garden, some to a Broadway show while others just rested. That night the group dressed up in their finest and went to the Bal Tabarin . After- ward some saw a television show. Sunday dawned clear and warm, and a group of seniors arrayed in their Easter outfits. went to the Church of Dt. Norman Vincent Peale. It was a beautiful service and it will not be forgotten by the seniors. That afternoon they went to the Museum of Natural History and the Hayden Planetarium. Sunday night the group saw Cinerama's Seven Wlonders of the Vlorld. Monday morning the seniors were up bright and early to see that all the baggage was loaded. Before leaving New York they boarded a yacht and went to the Statue of Liberty, after which they boarded the buses and started the long trip home. When they arrived home at three in the morning, a host of parents were there to meet them. Chaperones for the trip were Mr. and Mrs. Sherill Coleman. She carried a cascade bouquet ol white carnations, Maid of Honor Betty .lean Holland crowned the queen with a lovely crown made of orange blossoms. The maid of honor was gowned in blue nylon dotted swiss. Representatives lrom the classes wore dresses of pastel colors like that of the maid of honor. The attendants wore shoes to match their dresses and tarried matching bouquets of carnations. The little crown bearer, jesse Davidson, wore a white suit, and the llower girls, Pamela Chilton and julie Stanley, were dressed In organdy dresses that blended in with those ol the May Court. As we have worked along the way, We have our good times too: Our memories will wander back To graduation day. The joys are many, the sorrows few Through years of much success. O Bedford High, we owe to you Thanks for our Happiness. You teachers have been very kind And always helpful too. It would be very hard to find Others loyal and so true.
