Of, ?! y AJ ' x forty illl' Al l IICY? ,9l7ll tl ll11e 1944 One hundred and fifty infants leave jumping rope and marbles behind and in vade the dear halls of B H S A dancing class gets under way and everyone gets into the swing At the end of the year we all have a wonderful time at our own original PROMETTE 1945 Bells toll and we gratefully hurry back to our second year of high school life We find ourselves a little more independent and a but busier with homework 1946- We don our freshman caps and rush into the real beginning of high school From now on our grades are measured into credlts and real work begins On the rec reation side our fellows go out for sports and the girls 10111 G A A 1947 At last we make the Big Time we are sophomores of Bedford High' The girls Join Friendship Club and are the last group to have an informal initiation in school leave it to us We don t see much of the boys in our class anymore because of football and basketball practice we pay for our own cokes at the MGCM now Dolores Nemeth oan Warner udy Yoder and Marilyn are chosen as cheerleaders for the next two years Friendship play tryouts held and three of our talented prodigies are members of the cast Kathryn Kenney oan Warner and Bob Greaves 1948- Another summer gone and we begin school as juniors We start out by organ izing the great class of 1950 by electing as class officers President Ged Bryant Vice President im MaCausland Treasurer Pete Cuppage Secretary anet Smith Selling magazines and ordering our rings comes next Prom time 15 approaching so committees are chosen and the gym shapes up into King Nep tunes Court Boy are we proud of the decorations and also of our queen Nancy Ramsay' udy Yoder and Marianne Tinta are her attendants The grand flnale of this year is the class picnic held at Munroe Falls 1949- We re Seniors! It doesnt seem possible that we made it at last. Of course a few of our classmates have left us along the way with jobs or families in mind but after five years of waiting hand and foot on those oh-so-sophisticated seniors we re the big shots now! All too soon we discover the bitter truth--that we are still liable to detention we work twice as hard as when we were freshies and we still cant get away with cheating in psychology class.
