A friend is he who sets his heart upon us, is happy with us and delights in usg . . . is willing and fully engaged to do all he can for us, and on whom we can rely in all cases.',-William Ellery Channing Push in your chairs! I want this talking stoppedlv .... Few students who have ever entered the library of B.H.S. will ever forget these sayings or the woman who said them. Mrs. Margery johnson, in her own inimitable fashion, created them and in her position as librarian used them frequently. Her duties are many and varied. Not only does she efficiently keep the functions of the library operating smoothly, but also she adds an individual atmos- phere to th room which makes it seem to say, g'Welcome students, may I be of assistance to you?,' Mrs. johnson herself has won the affections of the entire stu- dent body. The class of ,52 especially recognizes the many favors and kind deeds which she has performed in its behalf. At any time a student may approach her asking assistance in finding refer- ence material, or perhaps just for her wise counsel, She is never too busy to help solve the tiny problems which seem so big to a sophomore, or the intricate ones which are so complex to a senior. In her capacity as journalism instructor and Echo sponsor she keeps the interest of the students always in mind, ever trying to add a little more spark to the daily school routines. In addition to her other duties she also has assumed the responsibility of instructing a course in junior speech as well as sponsoring the Tri-Hi-Y. Never- theless, she still finds time to keep a happy home for her husband and her pet dog, '1Mitzi.v A friendly smile, an enjoyable personality, and a helpful man- ner have enabled Mrs. johnson to become a friend to all in the high school. Interwoven into the memories of the graduating class will be recollections of happy moments spent in her presence. Because of the sincere manner in which Mrs. johnson per- formed her many tasks and for the innumerable times she has as- sisted every one of us, we the senior class are happy to dedicate the 1952 SHINGAS to Mrs. Margery johnson, who to us will always remain the lovable Mrs. jf 5

C I fn Mepreclatlvn To merely say thanks seems inappropriate for someone who has done so much for our class in the way of finances, education, and guidance during our senior year. As sponsor of the class, you, Mr. Charlesvvorth did a remarkable job, even though We often strained your patience. Your charming personality, which greeted us as sophomores and led us as seniors, will long remain in the memories of the class of 352. Mr. William L. Charlesworth Mr, William W. Paterick Patience, understanding, and more patience are required to sponsor a yearbook. As adviser to our Shingas, Mr. Paterick has exemplified these qualities in in- numerable times. His constant cooperation Was a guidelight to the staff as they planned the Shingas and to the entire class as they planned their lives. We, the graduating seniors, sincerely say, Thank you, Mr. Paterickf, 6
