e Class of 4l a tive in al e school affairs and producers of the first Junior class play in Beaver High were also the first proud wearers of the Beaver High School standard jewelry Standard jewelry had been discussed pro and con for many years in Beaver High. The economy and increasing pop' ularity ofa permanent design finally won a favorable decision over the old idea of varied styles for each class. A committee consisting of students faculty alumni and the school board was chosen to select a suitable design. The contract and drawing presented by the L, C Balfour Company of Attleboro Massachusetts, was accepted in March, l94O Orders were then placed at Kunsf man's, the local representative, The standard ring was designed to in' corporate the history of Beaver and the idea of education in a beautiful setting The lndian head of old King Beaver on the left shank and Fort Mclntosh on the opposite side represent our town s histor ical past O the bezel of the ing Beaver High School andthe class num- erals were engraved. The crest blending the torch of learning the Pennsylvania keystone and our high school B pro' tects an onyx stone. Since it is possible for any alumnus of Beaver High to secure a ring with the numerals of his class on it it is ho ed that in the future when the ring is proudf 'played the Class of Al wi remembered as being the first to sponsrir the ideag that wherever we may be, the ring will be recognized and used as a introduction and bond if I hr wt other alumni of Beaver High Schvril
