The sTaTT decision To issue The publicaTion weekly, insTead oT semi-monThly, led To more compleTe ancl up-To-daTe news coverage. Toward The end OT The year, a small amounT oT adverTising was soliciTaTed by Frank Kresse, Business Manager, in order To cover incidenTal expenses and sponsor a carToon conTesT. Exchange EdiTor Don STiver builT up The exchange lisT and ediTed a column oT news Trom near-by high schools. ArT work on The paper was under The supervision oT Jackie DeMenT, Mary Ann Templeman. and John Hacker. A clisTincTion was made beiween The socieTy and meow pages, ediTecl by Ardis Walker and Anna Mae HolT respecTively when The pages were published in weekly roTaTion. John D'Aura, Colleen Hansen, and Madelaine Wagner emphasized sporTs in The Cougar Flash while Gerry Hussey and Suzie Musgrove supervised The Typing.
