Feeling that Christmas Spirit should last all year long, these imaginative young people held a Christ- mas Hop in July as the first of many proiects. Not wanting to waste a moment of their valuable time, they set out to become door-to-door salesmen cluring the annual magazine drive. This cleared over one thousand dollars. To keep in trend with this modern age the unique Juniors traded their books for dark glasses and in- troduced a Beatnik Dance . Powder fiew and pageboys became pigtails as the girls donned clungarees, and the fellows, skirts, Page Eighty Six for the Power Bowl Game. The date of the Beauty Contest soon arrived, and was followed by the Junior Carnival. Anxiety grew as the night of the Junior-Senior drew near. Long hours spent in decorating were well worth while . . . this Junior-Senior was spectacular, the climax to a perfect year. Although jubilant over their successes they felt a moment of sadness when they realized that some of their classmates had earned the right to graduate with the Seniors. The Junior Class is eagerly looking forward to its new horizons as Seniors of 61.
