FOSTER American History English I was - Psychology, the study of human behavior, helps students to understand people better. Right, group study is important in Mr. Norris' phychology class, as are field trips and talks by visiting authorities in the field. Below left, the second period economics class follows in the book as Mr. Guinn talks. Economics and government are new requir- ed subjects for seniors. Economics famili- arizes students with economic concepts and terminology including the basic fundamen- tals of money and banking, the stock mar- ket, taxation, and business organizations. Government classes study local, state and national government in the light of a chang- ing Constitution, economy, and society. Below right, World History students take notes as Mrs. Pearson lectures on ancient Italy. This required course provides a back- ground of understanding for today's in- stitutions and societies. Trained this summer at the Modern Foreign Language Institute, our teachers have set up a 'Language Lab' in which, with the aid of tapes and records, students may learn a language by hearing it and speak- ing it, as well as merely learning reading and grammar.
