Wmlmf Scholarship and Service The Marshals, organized at BHS in 1957-58, are the twelve students who have the highest scholastic aver- ages during their freshmen, sophomore, and junior years. A striking red band, edged and lettered in white, is the official insignia of the Marshals. Top-ranking juniors are initiated in late spring so that they may serve officially during the commence- ment season. The quota will he filled early in the new school year. Marshals serve as ushers at all school functions. Upon invitation they will assist with programs sponsor- ed hy civic groups or organizations if the activity is ap- proved hy the school officials. The Beaufort Memorial Youth Center is the gather- ing place of almost all of the B.H.S. teenagers. It is open three nights each week on Thursday for the it junior high and on Friday and Saturday nights for the E senior high students. , The Youth Center offers varied amusements, such U as dancing, ping-pong, pool, and T.V.
