Alpha-Tri-Hi-Y Officers are Janie Poole, President; Patti Dykes, 1st Vice-President; Maria Thuemler, 2nd Vice-Presi dent; Sandra Lee, Secretary; Ginny MacColl, Treasurer; Cathy Nichols, Sergeant-at-Arms; Melissa Thompson, Chaplain; and Karen Drew, Reporter. Sponsor is Mrs. Hembree. Alpha Tri-Hi-Y is a service club whose purpose is to create, maintain, and extend, throughout the home, school, and community, high standards of Christian character . The fifty-five members aredi -vided into six groups which do service projects each month. Some of the events sponsored by Alpha are the Powder Puff football game, the Mother-Daughter Banquet, and the Twirp Dance. 28

World Affairs Club The purpose of the World Affairs Club is to further the understanding of world affairs and promote discus -sion. The club meets every week and discusses current topics of world concern among themselves and with guest speakers. Gamma Tri-Hi-Y Officers are Debbie Waldrupc, President; Mary Petty, 1st Vice-President; Mary Guion, 2nd Vice-President; Brenda Hensley, Secretary; Susan Broome, Treasurer; Chaplain; and Debbie Congleton, Reporter. Sponsors are Mrs. Heilman and Mrs. Cupp. Gamma Tri-Hi-Y is a service club for junior girls . Besides contributing to the West Side YMCA, some of the service projects are helping the St. Labre Indians of Montana, playing Santa to a welfare child, and helping collect for worthwhile charities . Gamma also has great times at conventions and the annual Powder Puff football game. 29
