When students returned to school in the fall, construc- tion noises from the old building still disrupted classes. But because some progress was evident, it didn’t bother anyone as much. Lecturing ncr sixtn penoa science class, Mrs. isaroara Knippenburg introduces a new unit on photosynth- eses. Her marriage during the summer changed her last name, but eighth graders who got to know her in the seventh grade couldn’t break the habit of calling her Ms. Adjiatixg to oka R-geA Adjustment came easily for some while others found it a little harder. Vice Principal Mr. James Thompson no longer sat in his office at the end of the hall with his feet casually propped on his desk.
