It's waiting. The Outside beyond those doors Is waiting For us. Our time in the sanctuary Has passed And we must move on. Now we must hold our own. Struggle And Contend Against others We don't even know. Once we lived In secure cubicles of comfort But where have they gone? We're told we must leave Our shelters And become young adults. Officers Inspire Grads Personality, enthusiasm, and ability describe this year's Senior Class. Under the guidance of Miss Dru- cilla Schriner, the class of 1972 has reached the highest attainment possible for the last three years. Both as Sophomores and Juniors, the class of '72 held a June picnic on the last day of school. The Sophomore dance, Love is Blue was the initial success of the talented Seniors, and the Senior Prom and Senior Class Day culminated activities of the class of 1972. This year's spirited Seniors involved themselves in various projects. They furnished the basketball roster boards and painted the mountaineer emblem on the gym floor. The Seniors arranged through Senator Beall to obtain an American flag which had flown over the Capitol. The class also replaced the 48 star flag in the auditorium with a 50 star flag Under the direction of Harry Storm, Bob Arnone, Diane McFar- land, and Anna Brodbeck, the class of '72 brought another rewarding year to a close with a Senior Class Day Presentation and an outdoor Commencement. 14
