Were there cows in Bay- side s football stands t Homecoming? N not really just cowbells. Red and gold ribbons decorated the class of 79. The ringing bells helped to build enthusiasm in the crowd that gathered in the stands at our fourteenth Homecoming. The 100 bells sold raised about sixty dollars for the junior class sponsored by M. Lankford and Miss Cobb. The Cowbell Com- Connie Marshall. The mon- ey will be used to help pay for the Ring Dance- a event which may cause bells to ring in the heads of many love-struck juniors. Friday night football games mean cheering, celebrating, and having a good time to most peo- ple. But to a handful of juniors, football games mean work. The main purpose for working in the conces- sion stands 's to raise money for the junior class. The class gets three dollars for each person who works all night in the concession stands. The rest of the profits go to support our athletic department. Why do these people work in the concession stands? Some work for the fun of it tbeing yelled at and complained to constantly.l Others work to get into the games free even though they cant see the game. And others work because no one else will.
