Sales of various kinds occupied much of their time as the members sold Halloween candy in behalf of a home for the aged, sold candy canes to aid children in neighboring hospitals, and peddled light bulbs. Giv- ing counted as much as receiving, accordingly, Iota gave Christmas gifts to a home for the elderly. ZGA Sponsors alentine Dance Sigma Theta Delta, beginning the year as the Number One Service Club, lived up to its promise. Arousing spirit was Sigma's main concern. Banners and spirit chains were put up. Booster Buddies for both the football and basketball teams heightened enthusiasm. During Homecoming, Sigma was honored by placing second in the float competition. Car washes, doughnut sales, and the Valentines Dance swelled the club treasury. Shaw- ing their willingness to help others, Sigma made Thanksgiving and Christmas food baskets for needy families.
