Yearbook Plans Begin ith Surnmer. Workshop It took more than writing copy, making posters, drawing layouts, and printing photographs, to pro- duce the Bayside Mariner. The Mariner staff taking their inspiration from sponsor Miss Erskine, oversaw the taking of class pictures and engineered the sales campaign. The annual sponsored the Queen Mari- ner Dance taxed ingenuity and emotions, but proved to be a huge success. 4 evvspaper Staff Enjoys Right of Freedom of the Press In an effort to assert its independence, the staff of the Marlin Messenger was able to present to Bay- side through its eight issues the extraordinary events of student interest. Significant among the Bayside chronicles were the sports articles covering the Marlins' numerous victories.
